Winter Surfing Lessons & Hire – Stay Stoked All Year with Shore Surf School
As the summer crowds fade and the waves turn crisp and clean, winter becomes one of the best times to surf in St Ives Bay. At Shore Surf School, we’re here right through the colder months, offering small, focused sessions for those who want to keep progressing – or just stay connected to the ocean all year long.
❄️ Winter Surf Lessons
We’ll be running one surf lesson per day – always scheduled around the best tides, weather and wave conditions. Winter is the perfect time for Private Lessons, giving you the freedom to focus on your goals with one-to-one coaching and maximum water time.
Group lessons are also available on request for friends, families or small groups who want to share the experience together.
🏫 Home Educated Children’s Lessons
Every Friday, we offer surf sessions especially for Home Educated Children – a great chance to build confidence, fitness and ocean awareness in a fun, social setting. If this is something you are interested in please contact us via phone or email.
🏄 Surf Club – Saturdays

🚐 We Go Where the Waves Are
Our Surf School Truck means we’re mobile – ready to chase the best waves around St Ives Bay and beyond. If the surf’s better elsewhere, we’ll take you there!
🏪 Winter Shop & Surf Hire
Our HQ shop will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10am–4pm, but surf hire is available 7 days a week. Just drop us a message or give us a call, and we’ll make sure you’re kitted out with top-quality C-Skins wetsuits, boards and accessories whenever you need them.
